The SBI PSU Fund is an open-ended equity fund which aims to generate opportunities for long term growth in capital, with the benefit of liquidity of an open ended scheme. With 19 years of experience on the sell-side as a portfolio manager and research analyst from a host of companies like Antique Share & Stock Brokers Pvt. Ltd., Sunidhi Consultancy and Alchemy Share and Stock Brokers Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Richard D’Souza had joined SBI Funds Management in 2010 as a Fund Manager for the retail PMS division. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Physics) from Mumbai University and is using his wealth of work experience in his duties as fund manager for SBI Mutual Funds.

Expert view of the fund + outlook

This fund aims to provide long term growth through diversified investments in the equities of Public Sector Units. There is an inherent sense of stability that comes with such a fund, as most of its investment is done in large-cap companies – the fund has a 65.19% exposure to large-cap companies which aren’t as affected by market forces as mid and small cap companies (which have a market share of 27.95% and 6.87/5 respectively).
