Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund shut six debt schemes in an unprecedented move because of liquidity in the bond markets and the severe redemption pressure due to the coronavirus outbreak. Income Opportunities Fund, Dynamic Accrual Fund, Credit Risk Fund, Short Term Income Plan, Ultra Short Bond Fund, and Low Duration Fund are the six schemes that have been shut by Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund. As per the data available, the schemes hold assets of Rs.30,853 crore in total. However, investors of these schemes cannot exit. The redemptions and investments will not be allowed in the above-mentioned schemes. The ongoing coronavirus outbreak is considered as one of the main reasons for the schemes to shut down.
