    • Assets Under Management of Mutual Fund Sector Falls 2.83% in May

      The Association of Mutual Funds in India recently reported that the AUM of the mutual fund sector in India declined by 2.83% in May this year, now standing at Rs.22.60 lakh crore in comparison with the Rs.23.25 lakh crore recorded in April. The main reason for the decline was reported as the outflows in liquid and income schemes. However, in terms of YoY figures, the mutual fund sector recorded growth of 18.68%, making an increase from the Rs.19.04 lakh crore recorded in May last year. The Assets Under Management under equity schemes, balanced schemes and other ETFs for May this year was recorded at Rs.10 lakh crore, marking a MoM decline of 0.25%. However, in terms of YoY figures, it marked an increase of 36.42%.
