The NAV of the fund will be calculated and disclosed by the company on every business day. Subject to the regulations put forth by SEBI, the NAV of the fund will be published in at least 2 daily newspapers that circulate throughout the country. The fund’s NAV information will also be published in the company’s official website (www.sbimf.com) on every business day. Also, investors can view the NAV information of a particular day on the website of Association of Mutual Funds (www.amfiindia.com) by 9.00 p.m. on the same business day.

The company maintains transparency by disclosing its portfolio information on its official website (www.sbimf.com). Portfolio information till the last day of a particular month is disclosed within the 10th of the succeeding month in the website. As per the regulations put forth by SEBI, the fund publishes the complete scheme portfolio as an advertisement in a major English newspaper that circulates throughout the country at the end of every six months. The portfolio statement will also be published in one regional language newspaper where the fund’s head office is located. Investment restrictions of SBI Magnum Global Fund - Direct Plan - Growth

As per the investment policies outlined by SEBI, the following restrictions apply to SBI Magnum Global Fund - Direct Plan - Growth:

  • The fund may not invest more than 10% of its NAV in debt instruments including money market instruments and non-money market instruments issued by a single issuer. This can be increased to 12% after approval from the company’s Board of Trustees and Board of Directors.
  • Investments in unrated debt instruments issued by a single issuer shall not exceed 10% of the fund’s NAV. The overall investment in these instruments shall not exceed 25% of the NAV.
  • The fund’s total exposure to a particular sector shall not exceed 25% of the scheme’s net assets.
  • Total exposure of debt schemes of mutual funds in a group is restricted to 20% of the scheme’s net assets. This can be extended to 25% after prior approval from the Board of Trustees.
  • The investment restrictions that apply to debt instruments may also apply to debentures.
  • Ownership of any company’s paid up capital carrying voting rights is restricted to a maximum of 10%.
  • Transfer of funds from one scheme to another is allowed on condition that a) such transfers are done at the prevailing market price of those securities and b) the investment objective of the target scheme is satisfied during those transfers.
  • Inter-scheme investments made in other schemes offered by SBI or other mutual funds in India shall not exceed 5% of the fund’s net assets.
  • Purchase and sale of securities by the mutual fund shall be done on the basis of deliveries.
  • When the investments are of long-term nature, purchase and sale of securities shall be done in the name of the fund.
  • The scheme may park its funds temporarily (not exceeding 91 days) in short-term deposits of major commercial banks, subject to the guidelines specified by SEBI.
  • The fund shall not invest in any of the following items:
  1. unlisted securities of the sponsor’s associate or group company
  2. private placement securities issued by the sponsor’s associate or group company
  3. listed securities of the sponsor’s group companies that exceed 25% of the net assets
  • No investments shall be made in any fund of fund schemes.
  • Investment in equity or equity related instruments of a particular company is restricted to 10% of the fund’s NAV.
  • Investments in unlisted equity and equity related instruments are restricted to 5% of the fund’s NAV.
  • This scheme shall not advance any loans to investors under any circumstances.
  • Investments in units of REIT and InvITs issued by a single issuer shall not exceed 5% of the fund’s NAV. The overall investments in these units shall not exceed 10% of the fund’s NAV.

    The fund shall declare dividends based on the availability of surplus distributable funds. The right to declare dividends rests with the Trustees of the fund. Dividends are paid to investors only under the Dividend plan offered by this fund.
