NAV Disclosure and Benchmark for Kotak Nifty ETF

Units of this scheme are listed on BSE and NSE and investors and buy and sell units on the stock exchange. The Net Asset Value of the scheme must be updated by the Asset Management Company on its website as well as on the website of the Association of Mutual Funds in India. The NAV must be published by 9.00 p.m. on every working day, and failure to do so will mean that the company must issue an explanation in writing to the Association of Mutual Funds in India, stating the reason for the delay.

Investment Restrictions of Kotak Nifty ETF

The following are some of the major investment restrictions of Kotak Nifty ETF:

  • The scheme is restricted from making investments in securities issued by group companies or associates of the sponsor, or in unlisted securities of a group company or an associate of the sponsor, or in listed securities of the sponsor’s group companies which is more than 25% of the Net Asset Value.
  • The scheme is not allowed to make investments in any fund of funds scheme.
  • The maximum amount that can be invested by the scheme in unlisted equity and equity-related securities is 5% of its NAV.
  • The scheme is restricted to investing a maximum of 10% of its Net Asset Value in equity and equity-related securities of any company.
  • The fund is restricted from making investments over 10% of its Net Asset Value in debt securities issued by a single issuer, and the overall investment in these securities cannot be more than 25% of the scheme’s NAV.

Dividend Policy of Kotak Nifty ETF

The Trustees can declare dividends if they are available, based on the sufficiency of distributable surplus. In case of declaration of dividends, all unitholders will receive them if their names are present on the depositories’ registers on the record date. In case the dividend distributed to investors is below Rs.500, such a dividend will be mandatorily reinvested and not paid out to the unitholders.
