NAV Disclosure and Benchmark for the Edelweiss ETF - Nifty Quality 30

The Net Asset Value or NAV of the units under this scheme is calculated on every business day. It is also calculated on other days as per requirement. The market or fair value of the investments of the scheme is added to the current assets. The current liabilities are deducted and the result is divided by the number of units that are outstanding under the scheme on the date of computation of the Net Asset Value (NAV). Under this scheme, the Net Asset Value (NAV) is computed and the declaration is made up to 4 decimal places. The 4th decimal place is rounded off for this purpose. The intra-day indicative NAV might be calculated as well by the fund. This is updated on the official website of Edelweiss Mutual Fund, i.e. www.edelweissmf.com.

Investment Restrictions of the Edelweiss ETF - Nifty Quality 30

There are certain restrictions in terms of the investments made in the Edelweiss ETF - Nifty Quality 30. Some of them are as follows:

  • Only 10% of a mutual fund’s Net Asset Value or NAV can be invested by the mutual fund in debt instruments which are issued by a single issuer.
  • The investment made by the mutual fund scheme in debt instruments which are issued by a single issuer can be extended to 12% of the Net Asset Value with prior approval from the Board of trustees as well as the Board of Directors of the asset management company (AMC).
  • The deposits of short term nature are to be held in the name of the concerned scheme.
  • No loans should be advanced by the scheme for any purpose at any point in time.
  • The investments made in all the schemes combined under a mutual fund should not be more than 10% of a company’s paid up capital carrying the voting rights.
  • The scheme should buy and sell all securities on the basis of deliveries.
  • The scheme should not be investing more than 10% of the Net Asset Values (NAV) in deposits which are short term in nature of any single scheduled commercial bank or any of its subsidiaries
  • “Short Term” for the funds which are parked should be considered as a period of time which does not extend beyond 91 days.
  • Investments should not be made by the scheme in short term deposits of a bank if the bank has invested in the scheme.

Dividend Policy of the Edelweiss ETF - Nifty Quality 30

In case of declaration of dividend, it has to be reinvested into the scheme. Although the same is done by the index on the day right after the declaration of dividend (i.e. ex dividend), it will be accounted for by the scheme in 15 to 20 days. Only after this period, the reinvestment of the money will be possible. The scheme will take exposure in derivatives after this period in order to reduce the errors in tracking.
