Janata Sahakari Bank Short-Term Deposit Rates

  1. A comparatively high interest rate is offered by the bank on the short-term deposit schemes, making it a good investment option for those who do not want to lock-in their funds for longer durations.
  2. Even an investment made for as short a duration as 7 days to 30 days will fetch a return at the rate of 3.00% p.a.
  3. For deposits with a tenure of 31 days to 45 days, the interest rate of 3.50% p.a.
  4. For 180 days to 210 days, the bank will offer the customer 6.60% p.a. and for 221 days to less than 1 year, the rate paid will be 6.25% p.a.

Janata medium & long-term deposit rates

  1. The tenure for a medium term-fixed deposit is from a minimum of 1 year to 5 years.
  2. The interest rate that is given out to the depositors ranges from 6.75% p.a. to 7.25% p.a.
  3. For any fixed deposit that is kept in the bank from 2 years to 3 years, the rate at which interest payment is made will be 7.25% p.a.
  4. On the other hand, all investments that are made in fixed deposit schemes for more than 5 years, will give the account-holder returns at the rate of 6.50% p.a.

Janata senior citizen deposit rates

  1. Janata Bank does pay senior citizens a higher rate of interest but only on certain selected tenure ranges.
  2. Higher interest rates are paid for all time deposits that are held in the bank for a period of 12 months or more.
  3. For any investment made for less than 12 months, the rate paid for this category of investors will be the same as that given to regular category of investors who are less than 60 years of age.
  4. For an investment made for more than 5 years, the rate paid will be 7.00% p.a.
