    • Indian Bank Changes FCNR Deposit Interest Rates

      Indian Bank has revised the interest rates that it offers for the foreign currency non-resident (FCNR) deposits held with the bank. According to the new charts, if the deposit is held in dollars than the interest rate applicable for a period of 1 to 2 years will be 1.7% p.a. down 0.2% from before. Deposits that are held for periods of 2 to 3 years, with the tenure not exceeding 3 years, will now earn an annual interest of 1.78% as opposed to the earlier rate of 2.08%. The interest rates for deposits held for 3 to 4 years is now 2.33% p.a. and the interest rates for deposits held for longer than 4 years will be 2.42% p.a. The new interest rates have already been applied and currently in effect.

    • FCNR Deposit Rates Revised By Indian Bank

      Indian Bank has announced that it has revised interest rates for foreign currency non-resident deposits. This revision will come into effect immediately. For the bank’s FCNR (B) deposits, in USD, the new interest rate has been set at 1.75 per cent for deposits with a tenure of one year or more, but less than two years. For deposits with tenures of two years or more but less than three years, the new interest rate has been set at 1.86 per cent. Deposits of three years or more but less than four years now fetch an interest rate of 2.47 per cent, while deposits of four years or more but less than five years will fetch an interest rate of 2.52 percent. The bank also stated that the interest rate will be set at 2.72% for deposits of five years.

    • Revision of FCNR (B) Interest Rates by Indian Bank

      Indian Bank, based out of Chennai has made changes to the fixed deposit rates it offers on Foreign Currency Non-Resident accounts under the Banking category that will be effective immediately.

      For deposits in US dollars, the existing rate of 1.70 percent per annum has been amped up to 1.74 percent for tenures of deposits that are one year or more but less than two years. While from 2 years to less than 3 years the rates went down from the existing 1.86 percent to 1.84 percent per annum. A similar decrease was done for tenures of 3 years and more but less than 4 years. The older rate of 2.50 percent per annum was reduced to 2.44 percent. From four years to less than five years, the existing rate is now 2.52 percent. For deposits of up to 5 years, the rates are now 2.65% instead of the earlier 2.79 percent per annum.
