ICICI offers 3 different fixed deposit schemes under its wing—Reinvestment Plan, Traditional Plan, and Fixed Deposit for 390 days. The Traditional Plan lets you earn interest on a monthly or quarterly basis as per your convenience. You can keep the money in your account from 7 days to 10 years and earn more in returns after the end of the tenure.

The facility also allows you to make premature withdrawals and offers loan or overdraft facility in case of emergency financial needs. You can take 90% of the principal amount as loan or FD. Note that loan against FD will be given at the sole discretion of the bank.

Also, remember that you have to place a minimum amount of Rs.10,000 to avail this facility. To open an FD account for a minor, you have to deposit a minimum of Rs.2,000.
