A driving licence is an official document which allows you to drive a vehicle in the country. The type of vehicle you are authorised to drive depends on the type of driving licence you have. Here is everything you need to know about getting a driving licence in Arunachal Pradesh.
There are three kinds of driving licences issued in Arunachal Pradesh:
Driving licence for non-gear motorcycles | With this driving licence, you are allowed to drive motor vehicles without gears like scooters and mopeds. |
Driving licence for geared motorcycles and light motor vehicles | This driving licence authorises you to drive cars and bikes with gears. |
Driving licence for transport vehicles | You can drive lorries, and trucks with this driving licence. |
Step 1: Visit the Regional Transport Office (RTO) in your jurisdiction
Step 2: Collect Form 4/Form 5. The form you need to collect is based on the type of driving licence you want to apply for.
Step 3: Fill in all required details on the form
Step 4: Submit the form along with other documents
Step 5: Make the fee payment (Rs.250). Once the payment is made, you will receive an acknowledgement receipt
Step 6: Book your time slot for the driving test
Step 7: Make sure to reach the RTO in time for the test. You should ideally reach the RTO half an hour before the time of your test
