Some of the investment restrictions of DSP Equity Fund - Regular Plan - Dividend have been listed below:

  • More than 10% of the NAV of the scheme may not be invested in debt instruments that comprise money and non-money market instruments that have been issued by a single issuer. There is an option to extend such investments to 12% of the NAV of the scheme but prior approval has to be obtained from the Board of AMC and the Board of Trustees.
  • Investments made by the scheme in equity shares and equity related instruments of any company or listed securities shall not exceed more than 10% of the NAV of the scheme. This is subject to some conditions.
  • Investments made by the scheme in units of venture capital funds, unlisted securities, equity and its related instruments shall not exceed more than 5% of the NAV of the scheme.
  • No investments shall be made by the scheme in any fund of funds scheme.
  • The mutual fund can purchase or transfer securities on account of the scheme if the instruments are intended to be of long term in nature.
  • Terms loans will not be advanced by the mutual fund in any circumstance.
  • Some of the regulations that are applicable to investing in mutual funds may be followed by the scheme from time to time.
  • Conforming with the framework relating to securities lending and borrowing, and short selling that has been specified by the SEBI, the mutual fund may lend and borrow securities and also enter into short selling transactions.

  • Switching - It is an option wherein you can redeem from one scheme or option and make a purchase in another scheme or option. Clear instructions have to be provided by the unitholder and the instructions may be provided either in writing or by filling up the transaction form that comes along with the account statement.
  • Personal Identification Number (PIN) - The fund will provide the option to use different electronic modes like the internet and telephone to make transactions. In order to use these electronic modes, the unitholder needs to have a PIN number. The PIN form that is available on the official website of the company will have all the terms and conditions related to the PIN number.
  • Dividend Transfer Plan (DTP) - Unitholders in either of the plans (Regular and Direct) who have opted for the Dividend Option can choose to transfer their dividend to either the Regular or Direct Plan, whichever is applicable using the DTP option.
  • One Time Mandate (OTM) - By submitting the One Time Mandate form, the unitholder can authorise the bank to debit their account by some limit on a daily basis when they wish to make transactions with the fund. This negates the need of submitting a fund transfer letter or a cheque for every transaction made after that.
