FASTag is an electronic system of toll collection and is under the umbrella of the National Highway Authority of India. The tag allows you to pass through toll gates faster than you would if you had to pay the toll in cash.
The tag is a small, laminated sheet that is stuck on your vehicle's windscreen. The payment of the toll amount through the tag is supported by NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) under the name, NETC (National Electronic Toll Collection).
