How to Register a Vehicle in Haryana RTO

The Transport Department of Haryana ensures that the rules of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, are carried out. It is also responsible for ensuring that the provisions of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules 1989 and the Haryana Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993 are enforced. Apart from this, it also enforces the rules and regulations under the Carriage by Road Act 2007 as well as the Carriage by Road Rules 2011. It also collects road taxes that come under the Haryana Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 2016 as well as those under the Haryana Motor Vehicles Taxation Rules, 2016.

How to Register Vehicle in RTO Haryana

To register your vehicle in an RTO in the state of Haryana, follow the steps given below:

  • Step 1: Visit the RTO in your area
  • Step 2: Obtain the application form for vehicle registration (either temporary or permanent as your case may be)
  • Step 3: Fill up the application form and make sure it is signed in all the necessary places
  • Step 4: Submit the application form along with the documents that are required

The registration process will start and you will receive your registration certificate after the verification procedure has been completed.

Documents Required for Vehicle Registration in RTO Haryana

  • Application for vehicle registration in Form 20
  • Temporary registration number
  • Applicable vehicle registration fee
