  1. Visit the official Passport Portal website 
  1. You will need to sign up on the platform as a new user 
  1. On the left side of the page, select the New User Registration option 
  1. Enter your name, date of birth, email address, and phone number on the registration form, then choose the passport office depending on your current residence 
  1. Select a login ID and password and provide a hint question and Click Register 
  1. Verify your account by clicking on the link given to your email ID 
  1. After verification, use the ID and password provided when registering to access the Passport Portal 
  1. Then Apply for New Passport/Re-Issue of Passport button should be clicked
