Given below are the steps you will have to follow to pay your traffic challan offline:

  1. You can pay your challan by locating a traffic police officer with an e-challan machine. Mention your challan number following which you can make your challan payment either by cash, credit/debit card, UPI, or through mobile wallets such as Paytm, Mobikwik, etc. Once the payment is successful, you will receive a receipt for the same.
  2. You can also visit the headquarters of the Hyderabad Traffic Police department where you can pay your challan by mentioning your driving licence, name, and address.
  3. You can also pay your challan through cheque, demand draft, or a payorder in the name of the Hyderabad Traffic Police.
  4. The payment of your challan can also be done by sending a money order in the name of the Hyderabad Traffic Police.

    In a bid to reduce the number of deaths and injuries on roads, Hyderabad Traffic Police are strictly enforcing the helmet rule for two-wheeler riders. As per the rule, pillion riders must also wear helmets. In case, the helmet is not worn; a challan will be issued to the owner of the two-wheeler. According to the MV Act 1989, a penalty for riding without a helmet is Rs.100. Now, an e-challan will be issued for the same amount if the pillion rider is not wearing a helmet.
