Different Ways to Renew Driving License in Delhi

Offline

The procedure that must be followed to renew the DL in Delhi offline is mentioned below: 

  1. Step 1: Go to the Regional Transport Office (RTO) nearest to your current address. Ensure the RTO falls under the jurisdiction of your present address.
  2. Step 2: Fill Applicant/Request Details. Complete Form 9 (Application for Renewal of Driving Licence). This form can be downloaded from the official Parivahan website or obtained directly at the RTO.
  3. Step 3: If you are aged above 40 years or if your Driving Licence includes transport category vehicles, fill out Form 1-A (Medical Certificate) and have it signed by an authorised registered medical practitioner (MBBS doctor).
  4. Step 4: Submit the completed application form along with the required documents: Current Driving Licence, Proof of Age (e.g., birth certificate, passport), Proof of Address (e.g., utility bill, Aadhaar card), Passport-sized photographs, Medical Certificate (Form 1-A), if applicable
  5. Step 5: Pay the required renewal fee at the RTO. After payment, you will receive a receipt. Make sure to keep this receipt for your records.
  6. Step 6: The RTO will verify your application form and documents. Once the application and documents are verified, the renewed Driving Licence will be sent to your registered address via post.

  2. Select ‘Driving License Related Services’. The option can be found under ‘Online Services’.

  2. Select ‘Continue’. 
  3. Next, enter the date of birth, driving license number, and captcha. 
  4. Select ‘Get DL Details’
  5. Choose the category, RTO, and state. 
  1. Select ‘Proceed’. 
  2. Choose ‘DL Renewal’
  3. Submit the online form along with the relevant documents. 
  4. Download the receipt.
