E-Challan Status in Karnataka

Karnataka is taking strict steps to control traffic problems like speeding and drunk driving. In order to make the traffic rules easier to follow, the government has introduced an e-challan system for easy and fast payment of fines. This digital system also follows the new rules of the Motor Vehicles Act to keep roads safer.

An e-challan is a digital traffic violation ticket that has been issued by the traffic police when a driver breaks traffic rules. Instead of a physical paper slip, the challan is generated electronically using cameras, speed detectors, or handheld devices. It records details of the violation, vehicle number, place, date, and fine amount.
