National Voters’ Services Portal
The National Voters Service Portal was launched on 25 January 2015 by the Election Commission of India under President Dr Abdul Kalam. The NVSP was launched to offer a single-window service to voters in India. These are the services offered by the NVSP:
- Register for Voter ID card
- Find your name on the electoral roll
- Check your assembly constituency, parliament constituency and polling booth
- Apply for changes or corrections to your Voter ID card
- Contact details of election officers and booth level officer
- Upload your Aadhaar card and link it with your Voter ID card
Procedure to Apply for the Voter ID Card by Submitting Form 6
- Visit to the official National Voters Service Portal: https://www.nvsp.in/
- Click on ‘Forms’
- Scroll down and click on ‘Form 6’
- You will be redirected to a new page
- Fill in information like your state, district and parliamentary constituency
- Click on ‘As a first time user’
- Scroll down and fill in the remaining details
- Upload the required documents
- Type in the captcha code
- Select ‘Submit’
- An acknowledgement number will be generated
- You can use the number to track your application
