- Once you send the SMS, you will receive a reply about the status of your application.

The Election Commission of India introduced a free helpline number to help voter get the required information on time. The toll-free helpline number is 1950. People across the country can call this number and they will be connected to a representative in their particulate state who will help the caller with any information required. People can also use this helpline to lodge complaints. The expenses of the calls placed will be borne by the Chief Electoral Officer of the respective state.
Also, for differently-abled people, the Election Commission has come up with a SMS service. They have to enter the symbol star (*) followed by their voter ID number to get help.
