A Goods and Services Tax (GST) certificate is a valid document proof of being registered under the GST law in India. Any kind of business in India whose income exceeds the threshold limit for GST registration need to register under GST.
After registering the business in GST, the taxpayer will receive a GST registration certificate which needs to be displayed at their place of work.

An individual who fulfils the eligibility can apply for GST certificate by visiting www.gst.gov.in. Once the verification of application is done by the officer, the registration will be approved. The registration will taken into effect from the date when the liability for registration comes up in case the application was submitted within 30 days from that date.
