How to link your passport and your COVID-19 vaccine certificate

The process of linking the vaccination certificate to the passport is fairly simple and straightforward. You can follow the steps mentioned below to link the said documents.

Step 1: Visit the official website of CoWIN.

Step 2: Click on 'Register/Sign in'.

Step 3: Enter your mobile number.

Step 4: Click on 'Get OTP'.

Step 5: Enter the One Time Password (OTP) and click on 'Verify/Proceed'.

Step 6: Click on 'Raise an Issue'.

Step 7: Select 'Add Passport Details to my vaccination certificate'.

Step 8: Select the member name and add all the details such as date of birth and passport number.

Step 9: Enter the passport number in the field marked as 'Enter Beneficiary's Passport Number'.

Step 10: Check the box for the agreement of declaration.

Step 11: Click on the 'Submit Request' button.

Once the request is submitted, you will receive an SMS on the registered mobile phone number notifying you about the confirmation of the request. After this process is completed, you can just go back to the Account Details option and click on the 'Certificate' button next to the name of the person to download the new certificate which is now linked to the passport.

How to download a copy of the vaccine certificate linked with your passport?

You can download the linked vaccination certificate from CoWIN app and portal in the following steps after completing the process to link passport with vaccine certificate: 

Step 1: On the dashboard, you will find information on the first and second dose. Click on the applicable option to download this certificate. 

Step 2: You can find a PDF form of this certificate by clicking on the download link.  

This would again help you travel abroad without much hassle and adhere to COVID protocols at the same time.
