Finance is provided on the ex-showroom price or on-road price of vehicles, based on the choice of the customer. Employees of public and private enterprises and self-employed professionals are eligible for this loan. Additionally, retired employees of public sector organisations and joint borrowers can avail the loan, if required. The upper limit for the loan amount is Rs.50 lakh.
The bank also offers flexible repayment options with the auto loan, ranging from 12 to 84 months, in the form of EMIs. If the customer chooses to avail the car loan for the on-road price of the vehicle, the entire loan amount will be inclusive of the ex-showroom cost, the registration charges, and the insurance premium for the first year. There are no prepayment penalties associated with the loan. The bank also provides a rebate of 0.25% on interest rate for women borrowers. Additionally, Jammu Kashmir Bank offers used car loans for vehicles that are less than 5 years old.

Jammu Kashmir Bank offers its car loan customers the facility to communicate with the bank through the SMS Alert service. The service is also available for joint car loan customers of the bank. Messages corresponding to loan installment overdue, stop payment instructions, etc. will be communicated through the SMS Alert service. In case the customer changes his/her mobile number, the bank should be notified immediately.
The SMS Alerts service can be activated through a form that is available at the website of the bank. The application form can be downloaded and duly filled in by the customer. He/she would then have to submit this application at the nearest bank branch.
