How to Apply for a Voter ID in Delhi Online? 

You can apply for voter ID online in Delhi, by following the procedure mentioned below:

Online Application: 

  1. Visit the Voters' Services Portal (voters.eci.gov.in). 
  1. Sign up if you are a new user. 
  1. Select "New registration for general electors" and fill out Form 6. 
  1. Provide all necessary personal details, address, date of birth, relative's details, and Aadhaar details. 
  1. Upload required documents (recent passport-size color photograph, proof of age, proof of residence). 
  1. Preview and submit the form.

Offline Application: 

  1. Download Form 6 from the ECI or CEO Delhi website or obtain it from the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) office or designated locations. 
  1. Fill out the form completely and accurately. 
  1. Attach a recent passport-size photograph and self-attested copies of supporting documents (proof of identity, age, and address). 
  1. Submit the completed Form 6 to the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) or Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) of your assembly constituency. You will receive an acknowledgment receipt. 

Making Corrections or Changes in the Voter List 

If there are errors in your existing entry or if you have shifted your residence, you can apply for corrections or changes:

  1. Correction of Entries (Form 8): Use Form 8 for any corrections in your name, age, address, photograph, or other details. 
  1. Shifting Residence within the same Constituency (Form 8A): If you have moved within the same assembly constituency. (Note: Form 8 generally covers all types of corrections and shifts now). 
  1. Shifting Residence to a different Constituency (Form 6): If you have moved to a new assembly constituency, you will need to fill Form 6 again for new registration at your current address. 
  1. Deletion of Name (Form 7): If a person has passed away or their name is duplicated, Form 7 can be used to object to or request deletion of a name.
