Process to Transfer Voter ID After Marriage?
The process that must be followed to transfer the Voter ID online after marriage is given below:
- Visit https://voters.eci.gov.in/.
- Click on ‘Login’.
- On the next page, enter the register mobile number, email ID, or EPIC no.
- Enter the captcha. Click on ‘Request OTP’.
- Under ‘Shifting of residence/ correction of entries in existing electoral roll’ section, you will find ‘Fill Form 8’, click on it.
- Choose ‘Self’.
- Enter the EPIC Number.
- Click on ‘Submit’.
- Select ‘OK’.
- Choose the relevant options next and click on ‘Ok’.
- Next, the relevant details on Form 8 must be filled out. Necessary documents must be uploaded as well.
- Click on ‘Preview and Submit’.
- Once you have checked the document, click on ‘Submit’.
The reference number will be sent to your email ID and mobile number.

- Choose ‘Correction of Entries in Existing Electoral Roll’ and select ‘Ok’.
- Next, relevant details must be uploaded and the necessary documents must be uploaded.
- Click on ‘Preview and Submit’.
- Once you have checked the document, click on ‘Submit’.
You will receive the reference number on the registered email ID and mobile number.
