IBPS Clerk Exam

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts an online examination to recruit clerical cadre for multiple public sector banks operating in the country. The autonomous body is set to conduct the exam again towards the end of 2021.

IBPS Clerk Notification

The online registration for IBPS Clerk 2021 began on 7 October 2021. Candidates must complete the registration and pay the application fees by 27 October 2021.

Eligibility Criteria for IBPS Clerk Exam

To be eligible for the IBPS Clerk exam 2021, you need to fulfil the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

  • Must be between 20 and 28 years as of 1 July 2021 (relaxation for reserved categories)
  • Must be a graduate in any discipline
  • Should have passed English as one of the subjects at SSC/HSC/Intermediate/graduation level

How to Apply for IBPS Clerk Exam

You can apply for the IBPS Clerk Exam 2021 online. The application process is listed below:

  • Visit the official website of IBPS
  • Click on ‘CRP Clerical’
  • Select ‘Common Recruitment Process for Clerical Cadre X’
  • Next, select ‘Click here to apply online for CRP – Clerks - X
  • Fill in the form
  • Upload scanned image of passport size photo, signature, left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration as per the specifications provided in the guidelines.
  • Next, click on ‘Submit’
  • On doing so, you will be redirected to a fee payment window
  • Pay the fees using debit/credit card or through net banking
  • Once the payment is successful, a registration ID will be generated which can be used for future reference
  • Get a printout of the application form with all the provided details.

Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of documents

  1. Photograph
    • The photo must be a recent coloured one taken preferably against a white background
    • Dimensions should be 200 x 230 pixels
    • File size should be between 20KB to 50KB
  2. Signature
    • Must be signed in Black ink
    • Dimensions should be 140 x 60 pixels
    • File size should be between 10KB and 20KB
  3. Left thumb impression
    • Must be in blue and black ink
    • Dimensions should be 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI
    • File size should be between 20KB and 50KB
    • File type should be jpg or jpeg
  4. Handwritten declaration
    • Must be written in English with black ink
    • Dimensions should be 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI
    • File size should be between 50KB and 100KB
    • File type should be jpg or jpeg

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern

The recruitment of clerical cadre is carried out through two phases. They are the preliminary exam and the Mains exam. Both the exams are conducted online.

Preliminary exam

The preliminary exam is conducted to screen potential candidates for the Mains exam. The pattern of the preliminary exam is listed below:

Mains Exam

The candidates who clear the preliminary exam are called for the Mains exam. The Mains exam comprises of four sections with a total of 190 questions. The duration of the exam is 160 minutes.

Note: It must be noted that in both the preliminary and Mains exam there is a penalty for every wrong answer. One-fourth of the total mark allotted to the question is deducted as penalty.

IBPS does not send the admit card via post. It needs to be downloaded from the official website of IBPS. Here is how you can download it. First, visit the official website and enter the registration number and password/date of birth.

  • RBI Grade B Notification Out

    The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released an official notification announcing the recruitment of Grade B Officers in the organization. The total number of vacancies is 294 which include 25 officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR), DSIM (Department of Statistics and Information Management), 238 officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) - General, and 31 officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) - DEPR (Department of Economic and Policy Research). The interested candidates can apply for the posts at rbi.org.in on or before 18 April 2022.

    The exam calendar for the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) 2022-23 has been released on the official website. Candidates can visit the official website of IBPS at ibps.in to check the tentative dates of all the recruitment exams. Given below are the tentative dates for IBPS 2022-23:

    • RRBs – CRP RRB-XI (Office Assistants) and CRP RRB-XI (Officers)
    • Preliminary exam for Officer Scale I and Office Assistants: 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21 August 2022
    • Single Examination for Officer Scale II & III: 29 September 2022

    The Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS) will release the IBPS Clerk 2021 notification and also the application form very soon. The IBPS Clerk application form for 2021 will be released on ibps.in. IBPS had released the IBPS RRB application form as well. There are two stages for the selection process. They are the preliminary and mains. These stages are conducted in computer-based online mode.

  • IBPS PO Clerk Exam dates available

    The dates for the Indian Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS) has been released for the position of clerk in various banks in India.

    The exams will be held on December 5, 12 & 13, 2020. Once you pass the preliminary rounds, you will be eligible to appear for mains which will be held on January 24, 2020.

    Some of the important dates you must note while preparing for IBPS PO Clerk exams are given below:

    • Registration Dates: September 2 to September 23

    On Wednesday, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)?declared the results of IBPS clerks, probationary officers and specialist officer's exam under CRP?IX.? Candidates can check their results at the official website of IBPS by entering the registration number or roll number and the password or date of birth. IBPS has informed that the results will be available on the website till June 30.

    It must be noted here that that autonomous body has on April 26 informed that the declaration of the results was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The mains of IBPS clerical and IBPS specialist officer's exam was held in the month of January while those of IBPS PO was held in November 2019.
