Karnataka Bhagyashree Scheme

The Karnataka Bhagyashree Scheme is a government initiative in Karnataka aimed at improving the status of girl children and encouraging their birth.

It offers financial support to families below the poverty line who have a girl child, provided that certain conditions are met by either the mother or the father.

There are interim payments available, such as annual scholarships and insurance benefits, that the beneficiary can receive as long as they continue to meet the eligibility criteria. These provisions aim to encourage the birth of girl children in economically disadvantaged families and improve their social status.
