The payments can be made either through the company's mobile site or its website. Customers can pay their premiums through the "Pay Premium option" by simply entering their date of birth and policy number. Payments can also be made by logging in to "My Insurance".

Birla Sun Life Insurance Premium Payment through Net Banking:

Customers who purchase Birla Sun Life Insurance policies online can make premium payments using their net banking accounts. Thanks to this facility, customers can make payments immediately from the comfort of their homes or when they are on the move, and all that's need is a valid net banking account. Here is a step-by-step procedure for making premium payments using the net banking option:

  • Enter your user name and password in the login section of the website.
  • Enter your policy ID.
  • Select 'Pay Now'.
  • Choose 'Net Banking'.
  • Choose your banking partner.
  • Enter the secured section of your net banking login page, enter details and complete transaction.
  • Print a receipt of the premium paid

Birla Sun Life Insurance Premium Payment through Electronic Clearing System:

Customers can use the Electronic Clearing System to make premium payments towards their Birla Sun Life Insurance policies. The company offers its ECS facility across 80 locations in the country. In order to make premium payments using the ECS facility, all you have to do is download a Direct Debit / ECS / NACH form or pick it up from one of the company's branches; fill it in and submit it along with an original cancelled cheque with MICR code at the nearest Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance branch at least 35 days before your payment is due.

Birla Sun Life Insurance Premium Payment through Direct Debit:

In case you live in a location where the option of making premium payment through ECS is not available, the Direct Debit facility is your best bet. The banks through which the Direct Debit facility is available include Allahabad Bank, United Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, UCO Bank, Axis Bank, Union Bank of India, Bank of India, State Bank of Patiala, Citibank, State Bank of India, Corporation Bank, South Indian Bank, Development Credit Bank, Punjab National Bank, Federal Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IDBI Bank, IndusInd Bank, ING Vysya Bank, and ICICI Bank.

If you wish to make premium payments through the Direct Debit facility, all you have to do is download an Auto Debit form or pick it up from one of the branches of the company. The form has to be fully filled in and submitted along with an original cancelled cheque with MICR code at the nearest branch of the company at least 35 days before your premium is due.

The Direct Debit facility is available on your debit card as well as your credit card. To avail the facility on your credit card, all you have to do is download a Direct Debit to your Credit Card Form or pick it up from one of the branches of Birla Sun Life Insurance. Fill in the form and submit it along with a self-attested Xerox copy of the front side of your credit card. The documents must be sent to the nearest branch of the company at least 15 days before the date on which your premium is due.

Birla Sun Life Insurance Premium Payment through National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT):

Premium payments can be made through the NEFT facility via your net banking account. To do so, you will have to log in to your net banking account and choose the 'NEFT - Fund Transfer' option. A few details will then have to be filled in, such as the Beneficiary Name (Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance Co. Ltd.), Beneficiary Account Number (the policy number of your Birla Sun Life Insurance plan), Beneficiary IFSC Code, Beneficiary Bank Name, Amount, and Purpose / Nature of Payment. If you wish to make the payment offline, you will have to visit a branch of your bank and avail a 'NEFT Transfer Form', fill it up and submit it.

Birla Sun Life Insurance Premium Payment through Bill Desk and Bill Junction:

The Bill Junction / Bill Desk facility allows customers to make premium payments online in a simple and hassle-free manner. To make premium payments using this facility, you will have to visit www.billjunction.com or www.billdesk.com and register yourself. After registration, select Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance as a Biller under the Insurance category and enrol your policy. After that, authorise your payment and your premium will be paid.

Birla Sun Life Insurance Premium Payment through Credit Card:

Customers who wish to make their premium payments towards a Birla Sun Life Insurance policy using their credit cards will have to login using their user name and password and choose a Credit Card as their Payment Option. Then, choose the policy ID and hit on Pay Now, after which you will have to select your card type and complete the transaction. A receipt of the premium paid can be printed for future reference. All major credit cards such as Amex, Visa, Diner and MasterCard are accepted by the Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance Co. Ltd.

Birla Sun Life Insurance Premium Payment through Debit Card:

Customers who wish to make their premium payments using the debit card facility have two gateways through which they can pay up. The Paynimo gateway accepts Visa, SBI Maestro, MasterCard, and Maestro cards from other banks, while the FSS gateway accepts cards from the State Bank of India, Vijaya Bank, Canara Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Union Bank of India and Canara Bank.

In order to pay your premiums using your debit card, all you have to do is login using your user name and password, choose the Payment Option as Debit Card, choose your policy ID and hit Pay Now. You will have to select your bank and then complete the transaction. A receipt of the premium paid can be printed for future reference.

Using any one of the aforementioned premium payment options can help you save a lot of time that would otherwise be wasted on travelling to a branch of the company or entertaining an agent at your home or workplace.
