How to check HDFC life insurance policy status?

For registered users:

Using these simple steps, you can access your policy details if you are a registered user:

1. Click on the 'Customer Service Section' on HDFC Life's official website.
2. Click on 'My Account' under the 'Customer Service Section'.
3. It will lead you to another page where you can use your Client ID, mobile number, or email ID with the password to log in to the portal.
4. After successfully logging in, you can check the status of your policy.
5. Alternatively, you can use your social media credentials (Gmail, Facebook, or Twitter) to login.

For first-time users:

Follow these steps if you are a first-time user:

1. Go to HDFC Life's official website and click on the 'Customer Service Section'.
2. Click on 'My account' from the drop down menu.
3. It will direct you to the login page where you can click on the 'Register' tab beside 'First Time User'.
4. It will lead you to the registration page where you will be asked to enter your policy number and date of birth. After filling the details, click on 'Submit'.
5. A one-time password (OTP) will be sent your registered phone number and email ID. Enter the OTP in the relevant field.
6. You will be asked to create an answer to one the questions available in the drop down list. This step is added for security reasons and provides additional protection in case someone tries to access your account.
7. Create a password for yourself.
8. After creating the password you can use the credentials i.e. client ID, email ID, or phone number along with the password to check your policy status.

For group insurance policy:

If you are the master policyholder of a group insurance policy, you can click on the Group Customers Section on the 'My Account' page under the 'Customer Service Section' on the HDFC Life website. It will direct to another page where you can use your client ID, phone number, or email address along with the password to login. Alternatively, you can opt for the OTP option where a code will be sent your registered phone number or email ID. You can log in to the portal and check the policy status by entering the OTP in the relevant field.

Other methods to check policy status

Apart from using HDFC Life's website, you can check your policy status using these methods:

1. By calling on HDFC Life's number-1860 267 9999. The calling facility is available for 6 days a week, from 10:00 a.m. to 07:00 p.m.
2. By mailing your query to service@HDFCLife.com. If you are an NRI, you are required to mail to nriservice@HDFCLife.com
3. By visiting your nearest HDFC Life branch. To check your policy status you will have to carry all the documents pertaining to your policy.
