SBI Life Insurance Online Premium Payment Channels:

To facilitate online payment of policy premiums, SBI Life insurance has set up multiple channels which are not only quick but also secure, when it comes to premium payment. you do not need to provide any physical documents to pay your premiums online. All you need is your policy related information like your policy number, date of birth, etc.

SBI Life Insurance Premium Payment through Internet Banking:

  1. If you have internet banking activated on either your SBI bank account or a partner bank account, you can easily pay your policy premiums online.
  2. For this, you need to go to your internet banking account and add SBI Life as one of your billers.
  3. Further, you will be required to provide your policy details as well.
  4. You can also register to pay your premiums via net banking by registering through www.billdesk.com.
  5. After your details have been verified, your service shall be activated and a 'premium due' notification will be sent to your bank.

SBI Life Insurance Premium Payment through Website:

  1. Policyholders can also make their policy renewal premium payments on the SBI Life website itself, which is www.sbilife.co.in.
  2. If making premium payment via the SBI Life website, you can pay using your Visa credit card, MasterCard credit card, American Express credit card, or Diners Credit Card.
  3. You can even make premium payment via your internet banking account held either with SBI or with any of SBI's partner banks.
  4. To make payments via the SBI Life website, you do not need to register yourself on the website. Also, there is no extra charge for premium payments done via the website.
  5. If you have registered yourself on SBI's 'My Policy' self-service portal, you can pay your premiums from there too.
  6. Customers can make premium payment online 30 days in advance, counting from the premium due date. Premium payments will still be accepted after the due date for a period of 5 months and 25 days.
  7. Customers will get a receipt (Success Report and Premium Acknowledgement Report) for every successful premium payment transaction.

SBI Life Insurance Premium Payment through Visa BillPay Portal:

  1. Customers who hold a Visa credit card that has been issued within India, can make their SBI Life policy premium payments online via the Visa BillPay portal.
  2. To start off, eligible customers must first login to www.visabillpay.com, add SBI Life as a biller, and enter their policy details to register on the portal.
  3. Once their information has been verified, their Visa BillPay service will be activated.
  4. They can see the premium due and the payment due date when they log in to their account. Payment can be made either immediately or can also be scheduled for later.

SBI Life Insurance Premium Payment through Easy Access Mobile Application:

Policyholders can also make their renewal premium payments for their SBI Life policy using the SBI Life Easy Access mobile app.

  1. For this, they must first download the SBI Life Easy Access mobile app.
  2. Once the app is installed, they need to go to the home page and click on 'Renewal Premium Payment'.
  3. After they click on that, they will be asked to enter their policy number, date of birth, and email ID.
  4. Once you have made the payment, you will receive a payment acknowledgement on your provided email ID.

SBI Life Insurance Premium Payment through eWallets:

Customers can also make use of eWallets like the SBI Buddy, or Jio Money Wallet to pay their policy premiums on time. The procedure for making payment via both these eWallets is as follows:

SBI Life Insurance Premium Payment through SBI Buddy/Jio Money eWallet:

  1. First, download the SBI Buddy or Jio Money app on your mobile phone.
  2. Go to the app homepage, click on 'Recharge & Bill Pay', and then select the option that reads 'Bill Pay'.
  3. From the new window that opens within the app, select the biller category as 'Insurance'.
  4. Next, choose 'SBI Life Insurance' as your biller.
  5. After this, you will be asked to provide details like your policy number, and date of birth to finish the transaction.
  6. After all required validations are done, the premium amount will be deducted from your chosen eWallet and added to your SBI Life policy.

SBI Life Insurance Premium Payment through Standing Instructions on Credit Card:

SBI Life customers can also make policy premium payments by giving standing Instructions against their MasterCard or Visa credit card.

  1. To start using this service, they must select 'BillDesk' as their payment gateway.
  2. Next, click on 'Pay through Credit Card', followed by 'One Time Payment + Standing Instruction".
  3. The request for Standing Instruction will take 3 to 4 days to get activated.
  4. Debits for premiums will begin from the next premium due date.
  5. Please keep in mind that SBI Life will not allow premium payments done using credit cards that have been issued outside India.

Offline Methods of SBI Life Insurance Premium Payment:

SBI Life also allows its customers to make hassle-free, and secure premium payments offline via a number of convenient channels. Customers can pay their premiums offline via direct remittance at SBI Life branches, pay via post or courier, pay in cash at authorized premium collection centres, have premiums auto debited through NACH, pay via direct debit, pay via State Bank ATMs, and pay at POS terminals present at SBI Life branches.
