Objectives of Rashtriya Gokul Mission

1. Improve desi cattle breeds like Gir, Sahiwal, Tharparkar, and Rathi
2. Increase milk production in the country
3. Support dairy farmers, especially in rural areas
4. Set up Gokul Grams (cow care centers)
5. Preserve native Indian breeds
6. Use modern technologies like IVF and embryo transfer for better breeding

Features of the Mission

• Gokul Grams: These are modern centers for taking care of desi cows and buffaloes. They provide shelter, food, and medical care.
• Breed Improvement Programs: The government helps in improving the quality of Indian breeds through genetic research, artificial insemination, and IVF.
• National Kamdhenu Breeding Centre: A national-level center to promote desi breeds and help farmers.
• Use of Technology: Mobile apps and e-portals help track animals, their health, and their milk yield.
