This plan is specifically designed to combat 13 of the most common critical illnesses with benefits that ease the burden on the insured as well as their beneficiaries.

    Key features of SBI Critical Illness Insurance

    Entry Age
    Adults Between 18 years to 65 years
    Policy Period 1 year or 3 years
    Renewability Only 1 critical illness can be covered in the lifetime of the insured.
    Medical Screening Applicable for applicants above the age of 45 years.
    Accepted applicants will receive 50% of the medical costs incurred.
    Sum Assured Minimum- Rs. 2 Lakh
    Maximum- Rs. 50 Lakh
    Maximum cap of Rs.15 Lakh for first time applicants above the age of 60 years.
    Non-earning insured will be granted 50% of the sum insured up to a maximum cap of Rs. 10 Lakhs on the basis of the income of the proposer.
    Coverage

    Insurance benefit is only payable in the scenario that the insured is alive for a duration of 28 days or more after the first diagnosis of the illness. The policy automatically terminates upon payment of first critical illness benefit.

    Only 1 critical illness claim can be made during the lifetime of the insured.

    Maximum benefit amounting to Rs. 50,00,000 offered under critical illness cover.
