Claim Process

The procedure to raise a claim is similar to a normal health insurance policy. The claim can either be in the form of reimbursement or cashless. The various steps involved to raise a claim are mentioned below:

  • It is vital that you inform the insurer in case of a claim. In case of emergency hospitalisation, you must inform the insurer within 24 hours from the date. In the case of planned hospitalisation, the insurer must be informed of the same at least 48 hours in advance.
  • In case of a reimbursement claim, the insured must pay the bill and raise a claim later. In case of a cashless claim, the insured must submit a pre-authorised letter.
  • If the request is approved, the insurance company reimburses the money to the insured or pay the hospital bills directly.

Policy Cancellation

The insurance company can cancel the policy at any given time in case of fraud, non-disclosure of important facts, and misrepresentation. However, a 7-day written notice will be provided by the insurance company. In case the policy has been cancelled due to misrepresentation, no refund will be provided.
