Q1 FY 2018-19

1. For the quarter ended on June 30, 2018, ICICI Bank Limited reported its consolidated total income to be at Rs.18,574.1 crore. In comparison to the June quarter of the previous year, the bank's total revenues have grown by a little over Rs.1,600 crore.
2. The bank's provisions and contingencies for the June quarter of the FY 2018-19 have doubled, y-o-y. The figure grew from Rs.2,608 crore to Rs.5,971 crore as of June 30, 2018.
3. On account of this two-fold increase in the provisions and contingencies for bad loans, the bank's profitability took a massive hit. For the Q1 FY 2018-19, ICICI Bank Limited reported a consolidated loss of Rs.120 crore.
4. On a y-o-y basis, the bank reported a substantial increase in its non-performing assets (NPA). Its Gross NPA grew from 7.99% to 8.81% while its Net NPA came down marginally from 4.86% to 4.19%.

FY 2017-18

1. For the year ended on March 31, 2018, the bank reported a strong growth in its balance sheet. Its domestic loan portfolio grew by 15% y-o-y while its retail loans recorded a growth of 21% for the same period. Its current and savings account deposit also registered a growth of 17%.
2. The consolidated total income of the bank was reported to be at Rs.1,18,969.1 crore, in comparison to Rs.1,13,397.6 crore reported for the previous financial year.
3. However, this increase of a little over Rs.5,000 crore in the revenues was offset by a substantial increase in the expenditures for the year. Consequently, the net profit for the financial year 2017-18 came down by a little over 22%.
4. The net profit after tax for the year stood at Rs.7,712 crore, in comparison to Rs.10,188 crore reported for the previous year. The profitability of the company was also impacted on account of a small increase in provisions and contingencies. The figure grew by a little over 8% to Rs.17,973 crore.
5. Considering the asset quality of the bank, it worsened on a y-o-y basis. The Gross NPA ratio rose from 7.89% to 8.84% while Net NPA ratio improved marginally from 4.89% to 4.77%.

Q3 FY 2017-18

1. As the quarter ended on 31 December 2017, the total domestic loan growth of ICICI Bank grew by 16% compared to 13% the previous year.
2. As of 30 September 2017, the retail loans of the bank stood at 19%. Whereas, by the end of December 2017, the retail loans increased to 22%.
3. In the last quarter of 2017, ICICI Bank reported a decline in their gross non-performing asset (NPA). The NPA of the bank stood at Rs.4.380 crore on 31 December 2017 which was Rs.4,674 crore on 30 September 2017 and Rs.7,037 crore on 31 December 2016. In the books of the bank, Non-performing assets refer to those loans that are in default status or in arrears. In most cases, it means debt that is not paid or long overdue. Therefore, a decrease in NPA means that the bank has addressed the issue and have taken measures to curb the negative effects of high NPA.
4. The Net NPA ratio of ICICI Bank also decreased to 4.20% as of 31 December 2017 from 4.43% on 30 September 2017.
5. The Current and Savings Ratio (CASA) of the bank stood at 50.4% as of 31 December 2017.
6. Also, the Core operating profit minus treasury income and exchange rate gains in terms of overseas operations grew by 10% to Rs.4,992 crore in Q3 of the financial year 2017-2018 which was Rs.4,549 crore in Q3 2017.
7. The provisions of the bank also reduced substantially from Rs.4,503 crore in Q2 of 2017-2018 to Rs.3,570 crore in Q3 2018. A provision is an amount that is kept aside by a financial institute to take care of a future liability.
8. In the quarter ended 31 December 2017, the net interest income of ICICI Bank grew by 6% on year-on-year basis. The net interest income of the bank in the quarter ended 31 December 2016 was Rs. 5,363 crore.
9. The consolidated profit after tax was Rs.1,894 crore in Q3- 2018 compared to Rs.2,071 crore in Q2-2018 and Rs.2,611 crore for Q3-2017.
10. The year-on-year credit growth in domestic advances was 13% as of 30 September 2017. By the end of 31 December 2017, the credit growth increased to 16%.
11. CASA deposits also increased by 12% year-on-year to Rs.260,635 crore by 31 December 2017. The CASA ratio of ICICI Bank stood at 50.4% as of 31 December 2017 compared to 49.5% at 30 September 2017 and 49.9% at 31 December 2016.

1. On 01 January 2018, the  opening price of ICICI Bank stock stood at Rs.314 per share.
2. The prices started picking up from 11 January 2018. On 16 January 2018, though many bank's stock prices declined drastically shares of ICICI Bank was trading well among the most traded stocks on NSE.
3. On 12 January 2018, ICICI Bank alloted ESOP and ESPS which led to an increase in the share price in the following days.
4. On 16 January 2018, the share price was Rs.329.75. The change in the Board of Directors also led to an increase in share prices as investors expected a change due to new leadership.
5. On 31 January 2018, the share price stood at Rs.348.85.
6. The month of february saw a decline in share prices. On 1 February 2018, ICICI Bank share price was Rs.347.55.

8. On 9th and 10th of the month, prices dropped further and on the 14th it recorded the lowest price of the month Rs.327.
9. On 01 March 2018, share prices further dropped to Rs.312.65 and the bank has offered equity shares hoping the prices will pick up in the following days.
10. Over the course of March, the scrip lost a little over 15% in a steady manner to descend into the Rs.200 region. After hitting its 52-week high at Rs.365.70 at the end of January, the shares moved on to shed all the recently-made gains over the next couple of months. 11. In April, the prices recovered marginally to cross the Rs.280 mark. For most of the month, the shares were seen trading hands at levels varying from Rs.260 - Rs.287. The prices recovered further in the month of May and the shares ascended back to their previous levels at Rs.310.
12. In the second half of May, however, the prices went down once again touch the Rs.280 mark. Things didn't change considerably over the months of June and July either. The ICICI Bank stock price continued to go down in a steady manner without incurring any sharp losses. In mid-July, the shares were seen trading at levels close to their 52-week low at Rs.255.
13. The month of August brought some reprieve to the investors. The scrip gained 20% in a matter of two weeks, driven by positive market cues and developments. The ICICI Bank stock price reached its previous levels above Rs.330 by mid-August. In the same month, the company announced a final dividend of 75%. As of mid-September, the shares were being traded at levels close to Rs.320.
