If you SMS ‘HOME' to 09223588888 you will be receiving an instant SMS which gives you the features of the service. The Bank will follow this with a phone call from the representative who will give you details about the service and answer any questions you may have.
A new service from SBI is ‘SBI Quick’. If you give a missed call to the number provided or send an SMS with pre-defined keywords, you can easily get the customer care staff to attend to your issue. This service is not only available to those who have a home loan at the bank, but also those with Overdraft/SB/CA/Cash-credit accounts. Everything from Balance Enquiry, Mini Statement, Blocking of ATM Card, Car and Home Loan Enquiry can be received with this service. You must register your mobile number to receive this service. For each account one mobile number can be registered.
You can register your phone number (the same number that is given in the in bank's records for that particular account.) by messaging ‘REG(space)account number' to 09223488888. You will receive a Confirmation message on the phone which indicates whether registration was successful or not. You can start using the services as soon as it is registered. If registration is not successful, then you must check the destination mobile number and the format. You must also visit the Home Branch and check that your mobile number is updated with the Bank for that account number.
In the Google Play Store, you can download the SBI Quick app which will give access to all the destination mobile numbers and various keywords. You don’t need an internet connection to use the app once it’s installed since all the communication would happen over missed call or SMS.
