The DDA’s main function include their scheme which includes the construction of residential apartments based on different classifications which include Higher Income Group, Middle Income Group, Lower Income Group along with Janta, etc. The following steps show how landor flats are allotted and bought thereon:

    1. Once the apartments are ready or the plots have been made available for sale in any project plots and flats are put up for allotment for the already registered applicants.
    2. The applicants should already be registered under the different types of Housing Registration Schemes that include the categories of LIG, Janta etc. For people belonging to the HIG as well as the MIG category, apartments are made available as well.
    3. Potential buying applications are given invitations with the help of public notice that is posted in the leading newspapers in Hindi as well as English.
    4. Also for registration and registration money postings on newspapers are made.
    5. The brochure can be then bought, which consists of literature including terms and conditions along with the eligibility criteria available at the DDA sale counter at Vikas Sadan, INA along with other designated banks such as AXIS Bank.
    6. Allotment of these apartments are done through computerized draw where applications are scrutinized through the application of a computed algorithm based on eligibility criteria and the terms & conditions.
    7. The location choices are provided, however the floor choice or allotment in a particular Sector/Pkt is not allowed since the allotment of the specific apartment is conducted through a computerized draw. This pretty much works like seat reservation for train tickets in the IRNA, where you can choose your train and class but not the seats you are actually allocated.
    8. P.H. category of registrants who fall into 1% quota, also have separate reservations.
