Home loans, also known as mortgages, use the borrower's home for collateral. This home can be a single-family house up to a four-unit property, as well as a cooperative unit. Lenders fund home loans, but both the lenders themselves and brokers who act on behalf of the lenders originate, or process, them.

I have a home loan from HDFC ltd ,representatives and customer service is very good and responsible . Even the interest rate is little high ,I can say the overall service is good from HDFC LTD till now . No issue till now from HDFC ltd for my home loan service.
Service is very good from Bankbazaar , customer service is very good and helpful during my loan process ,they use to update me regularly regarding my loan process . Even the Bankbazaar website is user friendly , I can say the overalls service is good from Bankbazaar.
They called me several time but I was little busy with my personal work ,but after I contact them there is no proper response from PNB ,so that was the main reason for cancellation of my home loan from PNB. I can say overall service is average from PNB.
The response was on time after I registered my details at Bankbazaar. But it would have been better if the details of the bank would match with the details on the website. So that it could be helpful for the customer to choose the bank which is best suitable for them.
I did not go ahead with PNB housing finance, because the interest rate was not matching with the rates with the online portal I applied for the same initially. It is a average experience overall. So I went ahead with another bank and processed my loan.
Bankbazaar website is pretty good to use and it is informative. I had received couple of calls and followups from bankbazaar during the loan process, but it would be more better if they contact the customer even after the loan is approved...
I had taken the home loan from PNB housing finance. There were lot of hidden charges and they promised 50% waiver on processing fee, but even though they provided 50% of waiver but they charged additional charges which was not communicated to me earlier. Also, the interest rate what they committed in the beginning was 8.5% but later they increased it to 1%. I am not happy with the services but customer service is quite good.
I approached State bank of India for the housing loan. When I approached them I got good response and they done with the process in a good way. The interest rate is around 9.5%. I am quite happy with the bank for the housing loan services. And the customer service is good.
So far so good with the home loan process at State Bank of India. The process is on and the overall experience is good and satisfactory. The documentation is normal and since I am an existing customer I am sure to get a better deal on the interest rate and charges.
Bankbazaar has done what every they had to do. The response was prompt and the process was very smooth. I received a proper follow up call and the whole experience is good. The website is also satisfactory because it has a lot of informative details.
I did not go ahead with PNB housing finance for the home loan is because when they contacted me I told them I am not at Bangalore and I am at Mysore. The local branch at Mysore took two to three weeks to contact me and in the mean time I decided not to go ahead with the same institution.
My home loan amount was 7.35 lakhs this home loan was taken some time back. Rate of itnerest charged by them was around 8% to 9%. Processing fee was applicable at that time. My EMI amount was around 8k and this was taken for a period of 15 years. Furthermore, I had also foreclosed my loan and even for the foreclosure there were some charges which is applicable.

I would rate 5 for Bankbazaar. I have been contacted regularly by the Bankbazaar executives. The information provided by them was accurate. It would be great if they converse with the Customer in their regional language. To my gmail account I am getting mails from them regularly.
Axis bank has offered me a lesser amount than the property value that was the major reason why I am unable to take the housing loan from Axis bank. I have approached the local property vendor as well. Axis bank has discussed with me about the interest rate and other miscellaneous charges as well. The property value is lesser than the loan amount.
SBI housing loan process is fine. The best part about SBI is the interest rate offered by them its line in with other banks. Processing fee is same as other banks .I am holding this housing loan for a period of 5 years . They are flexible and I am not getting any notification from them if the rate falls down.

I took Home loan from Axis Bank at 11% fixed rate of interest in 2009. The officer who handled my case was very helpful and processed my loan in just 4 working days. Documentation process was also so simple. I have recently completed my loan and received no objection certificate as well.
My opinion about bankbazaar is very good. I like user interface which is good. In just one click I was able to find all the Bank details except for the Nationalized bank. We can compare the rates
easily. Once in a month I used to access the site. It would be great if they reduce the number of questions which is asked in the beginning.
Axis Bank housing loan process is okay, I have applied for the loan in 2 localities one is at Delhi and the other one at Mysore. I have taken a housing loan for Delhi location and for the other location they want my mom to be present in that place as she is not available at the place. They were unable to offer loan for that particular region and mom is a co -owner.
