  • Yamaha R3 sports bike now available in showrooms

The BS4 compliant Yamaha R3 sports bike has now arrived at most Yamaha showrooms across India. Though the bike was released at the beginning of the year and bookings were available for a while now, it is only now that the showrooms are seeing its arrival. Priced at Rs.3.48 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the deliveries of the Yamaha R3 BS4 are expected to start soon. The CKD assembling done in India is the reason behind the bike being priced high but consumers prefer the sports bike due to its superior quality and high level of refinement.

The 320 cc parallel twin engine of the R3 BS4 is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission unit and generates a 42 PS at 10,750 rpm peak power and 29.6 Nm at 9,000 rpm peak torque. The bike features a dual channel ABS, standard disc brakes, tubeless tyres, and for bump absorption, it uses monoshock rear and telescopic front shock absorbers. At the moment, the Yamaha R3 BS4 has no rival in its segment except for the Benelli 302R.
