The Reliance HealthWise
health insurance policy is one which offers policyholders the benefits of health insurance and access to a host of special offers and discounts. It can also be taken by an individual or as a family floater policy. The plan has two additional levels of Gold and Silver which are the same in every respect except for some of the covers provided for under the policy.
Features & Benefits of Reliance HealthWise Plan:
5 years and above. Children too can be covered under this policy provided one of the members is over 21 years of age
Individual / Family floater
5% discount on renewal if no claims have been made
In case treatment is sought in a hospital where cashless facilities are not available, the expenses incurred will be reimbursed
Cost of doctor fee, nursing expenses and operating theatre charges
Hospital room charges will also be covered
Covers of cost of medicines anaesthesia and oxygen Expense incurred for surgical appliances, pacemakers and radiology
Day-care treatment for procedures and surgeries that don't require hospitalisation
Cost of domiciliary treatment
Pre and post hospitalisation expenses
Expenses incurred by organ donors but cover provided only under Gold and Silver plans
Cover for ambulance charges
Pre-existing conditions will be covered after a waiting period of 2 to 4 years
Specific illnesses will be covered after 1 year
First heart attack will be covered if it is of specified severity
Provides cashless treatment facilities at more than 3000 network hospitals
Provides nursing allowance for 5 days
Provides access to discounts of 10% to 40% on memberships, investigations, medicines and other products
Premiums paid towards this policy qualify for tax benefits under section 80D
If hospitalisations exceeds 10 days, policyholders are paid a recovery benefit
The policy provides specified amounts to cover the expenses of the person accompanying the policyholder
The policy also comes with a free look period of 15 days
Treatment resulting from substance abuse like alcohol or other intoxicants
Vaccinations and inoculations will not be covered
Treatment resulting from acts of war
Treatment for ailments related to HIV/AIDS
Expense of investigations and diagnosis including lab work
Hospitalisation outside India will not be covered
