Reliance Critical Illness Insurance Policy

The Critical Illness health insurance offered by Reliance is meant to help with financial constraints when policyholders are diagnosed with critical illness. It offers a choice of sum insured ranging from Rs. 5 lakhs to Rs. 10 lakhs which may be given out as a lump sum in case there is a confirmed diagnosis of a critical illness health insurance. The ailments that this are differentiated into two groups based on them being life threatening or leading to a disability.

  • Heart valve replacement

  • End stage renal disease leading to the failure of both kidneys
  • Premiums paid towards this policy are eligible for tax benefits under section 80D of the IT Act
  • The policy offers cashless hospitalisation facilities
  • No medical tests are required till the age of 45 years
  • Provides cover for 10 major illness and procedures
  • Provides lump sum payments to help pay for and plan treatment
