National Insurance Janata Personal Accident covers an identified group for death, permanent total and partial disablement.

Entry Age 10 years – 70 years
Policy Period 1 year
Renewability 30 days grace period is available for renewing the policy. There is no coverage provided for any incident occurring in the grace period.
Discount Available as per the size of the group.
Bonus Insured can avail 5% no claim bonus for every claim free renewal till it reaches 50% of the sum insured.
Basis Available to the pre-identified groups. Individual and his dependent family member are covered.
Sum Insured Rs.25,000 to Rs.1,00,000.
Rate of premium Rs.15 for the sum insured of Rs.25,000. The sum insured is increased in the multiples of Rs.25,000 and premium is charged accordingly.

  • It also covers permanent total disablement.
  • The policy can be ported to other insurer before 45 days of expiry of the policy.
  • Accidental Death: 100% of the sum insured is covered, if the insured dies within 12 months after the accidental injury.
  • Permanent Total Disablement: 100% of the sum insured is covered if the insured is permanently disabled.
  • Permanent Partial Disablement: if the insured is partially disabled due to the accident within 12 months of the accidental injury, 50% of the sum insured is covered.
  • If the insured has suffered an irrecoverable loss of sight in both eyes and loss of limbs or loss of sight in one eye and loss of one limb, he gets 100% of the sum insured.
  • If the insured losses sight in one eye and losses one limb, he gets a coverage of 50% of the sum insured.
  • Pre-existing disability is not covered.
  • Intentional self-injury or attempt to suicide or suicide are excluded.
  • Damages caused if the insured was under the influence of alcohol or drugs are excluded.
  • If the insured is involved in racing on wheel, hunting big game shooting, mountaineering, winter sports, skiing and ice hockey, there won’t be any cover for the same.
  • Damages caused by insanity and venereal disease.
  • Breaching law with an intent to commit crime, the insured will not get any cover.
  • Any injury caused due to war or radioactivity is excluded.

The insured needs to nominate a person at inception of the policy, this is mandatory so that the insurer will make the required settlement with the nominee at an event of death of the insured. This health insurance policy is available for the pre-identified groups. There will be a bonus of 5% for every claim free year till it reaches 50% of the sum insured.
