Family Health Protector is a health insurance policy offered by IFFCO Tokio. With this policy, you can get medical cover for you and your family for any injury or disease related expenses incurred in hospitalization, surgery and organ transplantation etc. You can cover the members of your family including self, spouse and dependent parent and children, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephew, niece or any other relation who is dependent on you. The policy can be bought by paying affordable premium. Under a single sum insured on floater basis, you can get critical illness cover for your entire family.
Features & Benefits of IFFCO Tokio Family Health Protector:
|Entry Age||The minimum entry age to buy this policy is 18 years. The maximum entry age is 65 years. The policy can be bought for dependent child from the first day of its birth, provided parents are covered alongside. There is no upper age limit for covering dependents.|
|Renewability||Renewability is available. There is no age limit for renewal of the policy.|
|Basis||This is a family floater insurance plan.|
|Sum Assured||The sum assured ranges from Rs. 1, 50,000 to 5,00,000.|
|Premium||Premium are affordable. However, premiums vary based on the age of the insured person and sum insured.|
|Medical Screening||Medical screening is required for individuals between the age of 45-55 and 55-65. Medical screening is also required at renewal in case the increase in the basic sum insured is more than 10% of the last year’s basic sum insured.|
|Critical Illness Covered.||
|Bonus||Offers cumulative bonus of 5% of the basic sum insured at each renewal following a claim free year. It is subject to maximum 50% of the basic sum insured. To get this bonus, the policy needs to be renewed within the expiry date or within a grace period of 30 days. In case, a claim is made, the bonus gets reduced by 5 % at next renewal.|
|Policy Reinstatement||The basic sum insured in the policy can be restored or reinstated by paying appropriate premiums to the insurance provider. However, the reinstatement of basic sum insured will not be applicable for Critical Illness Extension cover, cumulative bonus, domiciliary hospitalization, Ayurveda, Homeopathic and certain chronic disease etc.|
|Exclusions||Expenses incurred in weight control program, cost of spectacles and contact lens and other hearing aids, hormone replacement therapy expenses, home visit charges, psychiatric disorders etc. are not covered under this policy.|
