Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company Limited unlike its big name is strangely using the small radio at your homes to keep you aware of their insurance products. This is not just a passing line in the sentence but a fact with company approximately setting a huge 25 per cent of their media expenses towards the walkie talkie aka the radio.

In a recent chit chat with Neeraj Moorjani the Head of Marketing, Customer Lifecycle Management & Corporate Communications gave the reasons behind the unique approach. He highlights that radio is a huge part of their media mix because of the recall value and the audience engagement which requires active listening and imagination about the product. In fact he has numbers by his side and claims that currently radio hits at least 31 percent human ears and that too in the prime time during the period between 8AM and 9PM, where most of them are commuting in buses, cars, two wheelers, to college, to work and so on.

Currently, the company runs ‘Choice’ campaign and are sponsoring a health show ‘Slice Of Health’. The show is on from 21 FM stations and hits 18 cities.
