Sum Insured

Ranges from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 50 lakhs. The maximum sum assured that can be taken after the age of 55 years is Rs. 20 lakhs

Premium

Premiums can start from as little as Rs. 500 and increase in accordance to the sum insured chosen and the number of members that are covered

Discount

7.5% discount if policy is taken for 2 years

Coverage

  1. Allows cover for a maximum of 4 adults or 5 children under a single policy
  2. People eligible for cover are you, your spouse and dependent children or parents
  3. Waiting period for pre-existing conditions is 4 years
  4. Upon diagnosis of critical illness, a second opinion with a doctor chosen by the policyholder, from , will be arranged.
  5. Covers 37 critical illnesses ranging from cancer to kidney failure, end stage liver or lung diseases, Burns, First heart attacks, etc.
  6. The policy pays out a lump sum when a critical illness is diagnosed or when a medical or surgical procedure is required

Benefits

  1. One policy can cover a maximum of 6 individuals
  2. Premiums paid are eligible for tax benefits under section 80D of the IT Act
  3. The sum insured can be increased if the policyholder has made no claims
  4. The company offers portability options when health insurance policies held with other companies can be transferred to Apollo Munich

Exclusions

  1. No illness or treatment taken in the first 90 days will be covered
  2. If HIV or AIDS infections are present then critical illness
  3. Abuse of intoxicating substances will negate cover
  4. Treatments sought for pregnancy or any other condition related to pregnancy
  5. Need for treatment arising from acts of war, chemical, nuclear, biological or radiation exposure
  6. Congenital conditions and defects are not covered

GST rate of 18% applicable for all financial services effective July 1, 2017.
