Aditya Birla Activ Secure-Hospital Cash

Hospital visits are dreadful when you or your family member is admitted to one. But what’s worse are the bills that accompany it. Hence, most of us secure ourselves and our families by buying a health insurance plan. Health insurance plans cover hospitalisation expenses in case of a medical crisis so that you do not have to spend your savings at a time when medical costs are soaring high.

Most health insurance providers offer policies that cover pre and post-hospitalisation expenses, day care treatments, and domiciliary treatments. However, during hospitalisation there may be some additional expenses that your insurance policy will not provide cover for and which can also burn a hole in your pocket. Some of the expenses that can be incurred are - travel expenses to and from the hospital, nurse or attendent charges, food or refreshments taken during the hospital stay, cost of medical supplies like bandages, post-discharge expenses, etc. So, how can one get relief from bearing such expenses? The answer is simple - by opting for a hospital cash benefit cover. This cover will entitle the policyholders to receive a daily cash hospital allowance that will help them pay for the extra costs incurred during hospitalisation.

The Activ Secure-Hospital Cash plan is one such health insurance offering by Aditya Birla Health Insurance (ABHI). This plan empowers policyholders to receive a daily cash allowance for each day of hospitalisation without taking the hospital bills into account. The daily allowance amount can range from Rs.500 to Rs.10,000. If in case the policyholder is required to be hospitalised in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), he/she can avail double benefits under the Activ Secure-Hospital Cash plan. An additional benefit can be also availed by the policyholder if his/her hospital stay extends beyond 7 days.

One feature that differentiates the health insurance plans offered by Aditya Birla Health Insurance is the option of availing a wellness coach. The wellness coach will educate and engage individuals to understand the importance of a healthy behaviour and proactively managing it. The policyholder can access wellness coaching in areas of fitness, weight management, nutrition and tobacco cessation. The coaches will be available on chat through a mobile app and website or as a call-back service.
