To transfer funds online you can use platforms such as National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT) and Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS). These processes use IFSC codes that is the Indian Financial System Code. This is a unique alphanumeric code assigned to different banks and its branches in order to identify the correct bank branch to which the funds transfer should be made. The alphanumeric code consists of 11 characters. The first four characters are alphabetic and represent the bank name. The last six characters are usually numeric and represent the bank branch.
