National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT) at LVB:

LVB proudly offers the NEFT facility to its customers through a safe, secure and a trustworthy system. The online fund transfer system is maintained by RBI and can be used for low to medium amount transfer between accounts. There is no limit on the amount transferred through NEFT. The electronic payment system in this mode works on Deferred Net Settlement (DNS) basis and the banks receive payment instructions at fixed times, daily. LVB offers NEFT facility at all its branches. NEFT transaction requests are accepted only until 15 minutes prior to the cut-off timings of LVB’s branches.

Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) at LVB:

Online payments made through RTGS are made under RBI’s guidance and hence, they are final and irreversible. The fund transfers are ‘real-time’, as in the processing takes place at the same time as the instructions reach the bank. The process is instantaneous and continuous as it happens throughout the day. The settlement of funds is referred to as ‘gross settlement’ as the transfer instructions take place independently, without carrying any links to other transactions. LVB enables all its customers to use RTGS for easy and fast fund transfer. RTGS mode is preferred for high-amount transactions of Rs.2 lakh and above. Fund transfer to beneficiary account can take place in a short span of 2 hours. LVB offers RTGS facility in all its branches.

  • Lakshmi Vilas Bank to Revamp Operations

    India’s private sector lender, Lakshmi Vilas Bank is looking to revamp its operation for the year 2017 and become more aggressive in the lending sector and the deposit aggregation sector. The bank is looking at revamping its backend operations and its present technology framework. The bank’s low current and savings accounts (CASA) deposits has been a problematic area, the bank is looking to increase this to 25% in the next five years, for the quarter ended September, 2016, the CASA stood at 17.31%. The bank has a specialized analytics team that helps find potential new customers by identifying customers that are paying EMIs to other banks and approaches them to transfer their loans to Lakshmi Vilas Bank. The bank will also be paying more attention to its retail and small and medium size enterprise sector. Currently, the corporate sector accounts for approximately 45% of the banks loan book, the bank is looking to reduce this number to 25% and increase the loans given to retail and small & medium size enterprises.

  • Lakshmi Vilas Bank Launches Mobile Banking App

    Jumping in the bandwagon of public and private lenders that are going the smartphone way, Lakshmi Vilas Bank too unveiled its very own mobile banking application by the name, ‘LVB Mobile’ for its users this month. It is suited for Android, IOS and Windows compatible and would permit users to verify their account balance, transfer/ receive money (use IFSC Code), recharge their mobile phones as well as settle any utility bill. The new CEO and MD of the bank, Mr. P Mukherjee is quite excited about this new development and is hopeful to carve a niche for Lakshmi Vilas in the arena of digital banking. Using this app, you can easily locate your closest ATM. This app is also endowed with aspects like stop-payment-requests, blocking cards and ever putting in requests for cheque books or transaction statements. They launched their first money deposit machine in Bengaluru this month and plans of introducing more such machines along with e-lounges are also in the pipeline.
