Andhra Pradesh State Co-operative Bank (APCOB) IFSC Code:

For those looking to transfer money using a quick and secure means, the NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer) and RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement) facilities offered by Andhra Pradesh State Co-operative Bank (APCOB) are the options to consider. The services, initiated by Reserve Bank of India (RBI), provide customers with a secure banking network that settles transactions within a few hours thanks to a streamlined process and less paperwork. The entire process is conducted online, a further advantage in this day and age of time-strapped banking customers. Another feature of the services is they are a secure way to move funds from one bank account to another. For those looking to use these services to transfer funds, they would have to just enter the beneficiary’s bank details along with the IFSC code of the bank branch.

The IFSC code is a unique code that is issued by RBI to banks within the NEFT network. The code helps in keeping track of the online transactions taking place and serves as a means to identify the source and beneficiary banks in transactions.

An IFSC code is 11 characters long and contains both numerals as well as alphabets. The code consists of alphabets identifying the bank’s name, numerals that represent the particular branch as well as “0”, which is left blank for use in future. The IFSC Code for APCOB branch in Charminar, Hyderabad district, in the state of Telangana is APBL0000113, where the four alphabets “APBL” stand for APCOB, the fifth character “0” is left blank and the remaining six numbers “000113” denote the code identifying it as the Charminar branch.

Using the APCOB NEFT and RTGS to transfer money electronically is a very simple process. The two facilities are the fastest means of money transfer in the country and guarantee a secure and safe transfer. Another advantage to transferring money using these services is they are regulated by the RBI’s guidelines, ensuring that banks adhere to the terms and conditions laid down by RBI for such transactions. Given below are ways you can avail of the services:

NEFT (National Electronic Fund Transfer):

NEFT services can be availed by APCOB customers from Monday to Saturday between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm. The transfers are processed in 11 batches on the hour, with the first batch beginning from 8:00 am. NEFT services are not available on second and fourth Saturdays and on bank holidays. Requests that are received on holidays or after the deadline would be processed on the subsequent working day.

There is no lower or upper limit on NEFT transactions, making it a fast-growing choice for customers today. APCOB charges its customers a fixed rate for providing this service, the rates are mentioned below:

Up to Rs. 10, 000

Rs. 2.50 for each transaction

Rs. 10, 001 – Rs. 1, 00, 000

Rs. 5 for each transaction

Rs. 1, 00, 001 – Rs. 2, 00, 000

Rs. 10 for each transaction

Rs. 2, 00, 001 and above

Rs. 20 for each transaction

RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement):

RTGS services are offered by APCOB, which is the fastest means of transferring funds across the country. RTGS services are a safe and hassle-free way to move money since there is no upper limit to the amount that can be sent at one time. However the base amount to be sent per transaction is Rs. 2 lakh, resulting in RTGS services generally being used to transfer only large amounts at a time. As opposed to NEFT, RTGS services are transferred on a real time basis. This ensures that the transactions are cleared as soon as the request is processed. Each transaction is a “gross” transaction, where each transaction request is settled individually, so they are not grouped together and then settled. These transactions are recorded in RBI’s books, making them irrevocable once the transfer request is made.

RTGS facility is available for APCOB customers every Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. The services are not available on second and fourth Saturdays and on bank holidays. For requests received after the cut off times or on holidays, the bank processes the requests on the following working day.

PCOB has a list of rates it charges for outgoing RTGS transactions, which are listed under:

Rs. 2, 00, 000 – Rs. 5, 00, 000

Rs. 25 for every transaction

Rs. 5, 00, 001 and above
