AP Mahesh Coop Urban Bank IFSC Code

The way money transfers are carried out today has undergone a sea change with the introduction of online money transfers in the form of NEFT (National Electronic Fund Transfer) and RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement). The two services were set up under the auspices of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to digitise money transfers and speed up the settlement process. Now those seeking to transfer money to bank accounts within the country have a safe, secure and speedy process by which to do so. These services enable the fastest money transfer facilities in the country and customers are assured of their funds being transferred to the recipient in the shortest time period. To use either of these facilities to wirelessly transfer funds, the applicant has to merely enter the beneficiary’s bank details along with the concerned bank branch’s IFSC code.

The IFSC Code is assigned to every bank branch that is part of the NEFT network in India. The code was introduced by RBI to regulate the money transfers being carried out across the country. It also serves to identify both the beneficiary’s as well as the recipient’s banks in the transaction.

The IFSC code is made up of three parts- the name of the bank, the numbers representing the specific branch and the number “0”. The IFSC code of a Mahesh Bank branch in Moti Nagar, located in Hyderabad district in the state of Telangana is APMC0000027. Here, “APMC” stands for the A.P Mahesh Co-operative Urban Bank, “0” is left blank for use later and “000027” represents the specific branch, which is Moti Nagar.
