Laxmi Hebbalkar, the minister of women's and children's welfare in Karnataka, stated on Saturday that the Gruha Lakshmi scheme's registration period will begin today, or on July 19, at noon.
According to the minister, those who are eligible for the Gruha Lakshmi Yojana would be eligible to sign up without paying any intermediary fees. Women who are household heads across the state of Karnataka would receive Rs.2,000 each month under the Gruha Lakshmi plan. According to the minister, up to 12.8 million families in the state would profit from this programme. Today, the scheme will be unveiled by CM Siddaramaiah.
The Gruha Lakshmi Yojana was recently announced by the Congress party in Karnataka with the aim of empowering women and encouraging gender equality. On 18 March 2022, state Congress president D.K. Shivakumar introduced the programme, which strives at providing financial support to women who are primary breadwinners in their families.

At the Karnataka-1, Bengaluru-1, Grama-1, or Bapuji Seva Kendra facilities, you can register for the program. Family heads should visit these centres armed with the necessary APL/BPL/Antyodaya cards as well as bank-linked Aadhaar cards. You can sign for free at these centres to take advantage of this initiative, or volunteer ‘People's representatives will go from residence to residence and register people for free.
The beneficiaries would also get an SMS with information on where and when to sign up for the scheme. The beneficiaries can return to the same site after 05:00 p.m. to register if they miss their appointment. Since the plan is an ongoing process, there is no deadline for enrollment. In order to assist beneficiaries in enrolling in the scheme, the department has chosen to appoint a ‘Praja Pratinidhi’ (citizens' representative). Harsh punishment will be given to anyone who demands payment to enrol in the initiative.

Step 2: Enter your email address along with the OTP that was sent to your email address in order to log in.
Step 3: Click on the ‘New user ? Register here’ option if you are a new user.
Step 4: Log in to the portal using the Aadhaar number and all other necessary information.
Step 5: In the search field, look for ‘Gruha Lakshmi Yojana.’
Step 6: Enter all the requested details.
Step 7: Upload the relevant documents and click on the ‘Submit’ option. Note down the application form number for future use.
Women who have applied for the Gruha Lakshmi Yojana will be able to check the status of their application on the official website of the Karnataka Government. The beneficiary list of this scheme will be released by the government after 15 July 2023.

The highly anticipated Gruha Lakshmi scheme registration will commence in Karnataka on 19 July 2023. This initiative aims to provide a monthly grant of Rs 2,000 to women who are heads of households in the state. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will officially launch the beneficiary registration program at Vidhana Soudha at 5:30 pm on 19 July 2023. Appointment-based registration will be implemented at designated centers, and SMS notifications will be sent to prospective beneficiaries using the mobile numbers linked to their BPL and APL cards, providing the necessary information regarding the date, time, and venue of registration. In rural areas, GramaOne or Bapuji Seva Kendras will serve as registration centers, while in urban areas, beneficiaries can register at Karnataka One, Bangalore One, BBMP ward offices, or Urban Local Body (ULB) offices.
