When did Mumbai Introduce the New Traffic Fines?

The New Traffic Fines, as per the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act 2019, were nationally effective from 1 September 2019. However, considering the financial concerns of the middle class, some states, including Maharashtra, initially postponed the implementation of the increased fines. After careful consideration and a period of deliberation, Maharashtra eventually implemented the higher fines as part of an effort to reduce roadside accidents and encourage safer driving practices among citizens.
